Find the Right Size Propane Tank for Your Home

In the world of propane there are a few different tanks that you can choose from, and all depends on how you use propane. The right size tank will be dependent on the size of your home, the appliances that use propane, and your geological location. Here in the Delaware Valley, we experience colder temperatures in the winter, which means you will go through propane much quicker. So, if you are using propane to heat your home throughout the winter, we recommend opting for a larger tank.

Fun Fact: Similar to water, propane expands when heat is added to it. The difference? With the same temperature increase, propane will increase in volume nearly 17 times greater than water! To allow for expansion Propane tanks are only able to be filled to 80%.
